Iranian missile barrage hits central Israel, elderly couple killed in Ramat Gan
A man and a woman in their 70s were killed overnight (Wednesday) in a missile barrage launched from Iran toward central Israel. The two were a couple from Ramat Gan. They were critically injured by shrapnel and were later pronounced dead.
Ramat Gan Mayor Carmel Shama-Hacohen told Kan News from the location: “This is a deadly scene. We lost two residents as a result of a hit from a cluster missile warhead from Iran. They have a safe room in their home, but unfortunately, they did not manage to reach it for reasons that are still unclear.”
Magen David Adom paramedic Inbar Green and medic Naftali Halberstadt, who arrived at the scene in Ramat Gan, said, “We saw smoke rising from a building with extensive destruction and shattered glass. Among the debris, we found two victims unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, with severe injuries to their bodies. We performed medical checks, but they showed no signs of life, and we had no choice but to pronounce them dead at the scene.”
