12 wounded in attack on Saudi Arabia airport

A dozen people were wounded in a drone attack on a southern Saudi Arabia airport near the Kingdom's border with Yemen this afternoon, Saudi officials said.

According to a statement, Saudi Arabia air defenses were able to destroy the drone that it believes was launched by Houthi rebels from Yemen.

In the past few weeks, several attacks or attempted attacks attributed to the Houthis were carried out in the United Arab Emirates. Three people were killed in one of the attacks in Abu Dhabi in January.
