‘I’m not happy with Iran,’ President Trump says – no deal yet – war looks imminent, could erupt this weekend

Please pray with urgency – here’s what we know right now

WASHINGTON, DC — “I’m not happy.”

That’s what U.S. President Donald J. Trump just said about the Iranian leadership and their continued obstinacy and consistent unwillingness to make a serious and verifiable deal.

Reading all the tea leaves, war looks increasingly imminent – almost inevitable – and could erupt this weekend.

Trump spoke to reporters on the South Lawn of the White House around 1 p.m. EST, just before boarding Marine One.

“I’m not happy with the fact that they’re not willing to give us what we have to have,” said the Commander in Chief. “So, I’m not thrilled with that.”

“We’ll see what happens. We’re talking later. We’ll have some additional talks today.”

“But, no, I’m not happy with the way they’re going,” he added, referring to the talks.

The Iranian negotiators are running out of time.

“It’d be nicer if we could do it without [the military], but sometimes you have to do it with [the military]. We have the greatest military anywhere in the world. There’s nothing close. I’d love not to use it, but sometimes you have to. We’ll see what happens.”

So far, they do not seem to be willing to satisfy U.S. demands to end their nuclear program, end all uranium enrichment, ship all currently enriched uranium out of the country, dismantle their offensive ballistic missile system, and stop funding and arming terrorist organizations.

“Iran will never have nuclear weapons,” Trump told reporters. “Not on my watch.”

When it comes to ordering U.S. military forces into battle, Trump said, “We haven’t made a decision on Iran yet.”

“I don’t want to [use force], but sometimes you have to.”

As I assess the state of play, I’d say Trump has just about had it with Tehran.

He has given them time and space to make a deal, but his patience is wearing thin.

All signs suggest he is about to order massive military attacks.

• The USS Gerald Ford aircraft carrier strike group is now on station off the coast of Israel.

• The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem has ordered all non-essential employees and their families to depart today.

• Iran is now effectively surrounded by the largest U.S. military buildup since 2003.

• Secretary of State Marco was supposed to arrive in Israel today but announced the trip was postponed until Monday. Is that for real, or a feint designed to confuse Tehran if the war really will begin this weekend?

Please pray with urgency for President Trump as he makes these fateful and historic decisions on how best to proceed.

Please pray for the leaders, citizens, and residents of Israel and our Arab allies, all of whom are in harm’s way.

Please pray, too, for the liberation and salvation of the Iranian people and everyone in the region.
