Gulf states warn Iran: If we are heavily attacked amid U.S. conflict, we will intervene

Gulf states are preparing for the possibility of a U.S. strike on Iran, while seeking to keep their distance from any confrontation, KAN News reported on Sunday.

A Saudi royal source said Riyadh and other Gulf states have delivered direct messages to Tehran, making clear it will not allow the United States to use their territory or airspace for an attack on Iran. At the same time, Iran was warned that significant attacks by Iran or its proxies on Gulf states could force them to respond, potentially drawing them into the conflict.

The source stressed the warning refers to major strikes, not limited actions such as Iran’s previous attack on the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, which he dismissed as a “show.”

The source added that Saudi Arabia would prefer pressure on Iran to remain economic rather than military, even as the kingdom believes the U.S. is preparing for a strike.
