Haredi protesters blocked the entrance to Ofakim following the arrest of a draft evader. After the individual was removed from the city, the protest escalated, with 300 to 500 demonstrators surrounding the local police station.

During the incident, three protesters were arrested but were released after the protest ended. There were no arrests.
