Haredis protest & riot for second day against planned autopsies of babies who died in Jerusalem daycare catastrophe
Haredi protesters rioted in Beit Shemesh and Jerusalem for a second day, demonstrating against the planned autopsies of two babies who died in an incident at a daycare in Jerusalem on Monday.
The caregivers were arrested on suspicion of negligence after two babies died and dozens of others were evacuated to hospitals.
On Tuesday, protests erupted again, with police saying that Haredis were throwing rocks, setting fire to trash cans and attacking civilians and officers.
The police said that "every red line" had been crossed and that it w,as using water cannons and other methods of crowd dispersal to restore public order.
