Historic moment: Deni Avdija named first Israeli NBA All-Star

Israeli forward Deni Avdija (25) with Oregon's Portland Trail Blazers was selected overnight to join the World Team for the NBA All-Star Game, representing the Western Conference.

Now in his sixth NBA season and second with Portland — after four years with the Washington Wizards — Avdija is posting career-best numbers, averaging 25.5 points (46.7% FG, 35.6% from three), 7.2 rebounds and 6.7 assists in 34.6 minutes per game.
