Israel prepares for possibility Iran could strike first
Israel’s Home Front Command amid concerns of a potential confrontation with Iran mirrors preparations seen before last year’s Operation Rising Lion, Kan News reported Thursday.
Officials said that Israel has contingency plans for a possible U.S. strike on Iran, while also preparing for a scenario in which Tehran attacks first. Security sources warned that any Iranian retaliation targeting Israel would trigger a direct response inside Iran.
Separately, a U.S. special operations aircraft reportedly landed in Israel earlier on Thursday. Authorities are also bracing for a prolonged missile campaign, with assessments suggesting that Iran could again aim at population centers.
