Man threatens Jewish students with knife on bus in Australia

A group of Jewish students from Leibler Yavneh College in Australia were threatened by a man wielding a knife while traveling on a public bus.

The man, who was traveling on the bus with the students, began to make antisemitic comments before referring to himself as a Nazi. Then he pulled a large knife out of his bag and began threatening the students.

The students immediately shouted to the bus driver, who let them off. The man followed the students briefly before walking away from them.

The students were able to reboard the bus without incident.

Australia’s Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC) said that antisemitic incidents in Australia have increased between 2020 and 2021.
